Saying that, I am now considering selling my hauppauge hd pvr 2 gaming edition plus and getting the elegato. Or if anybody else could chip in with some advice?. This would save some CPU power and produce a smoother stream. Just wondering if you coudl give some advise for it or if you know of a way I could remove the need to use the other capture software and VLC. I have read through some of your threads and cannot find anything about another Mac build that fully supports hauppauge hd pvr 2. My windows machine is only AMD dual core processor and 3gb of DDR 2 ram I think. I would go and use my Windows laptop, but it is pretty poor in specs. I know you said earlier in the post, you are not really a Mac guy, which is fair enough. Because I have to effectively have the stream open twice (once in VLC and again in OSB), I am getting a pretty laggy steam to Twitch. It is only if I do that, OSB will be able to pick up the signal from VLC. So the hauppauge hd pvr 2 gaming edition plus signal is being sent to my Mac but I am having to run the HDPVR capture software that hauppauge provide, select it to send the signal to VLC. It is a top end Macbook air, i7 processor and 8GB of ram with 320gb SSD hard drive. I probably should have done my research first, I just saw that the guy was selling it for £65 instead of £150.Īnyway, let me explain my set up and the problem. I was unfortunate enough to purchase hauppauge hd pvr 2 gaming edition plus.

I was hoping you could give some advice though. So on a smaller level, I know how much hard work goes into making a great piece of software.

I work for a pretty big software company handling all the testing of our products and resolving issues for our customers. I'm not going to moan or complain as I appreciate the work you do. Thank you for posting your updates in here.
